Youth Contribution to Tourism

 

In 1979, the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization established an international holiday - World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on September 27.


Within the framework of this holiday, on September 27, 2019, at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, at the Department of Geography, Ecology and Tourism, a festive event was held: «Youth Contribution to Tourism». The organizers are Ardak Aldasheva, a senior teacher of the department and students of specialties - Tourism.


The purpose of the event is the promotion of tourism, as one of the most profitable sectors of the economy, uniting many countries, as well as promoting the development of domestic tourism.


The event was opened by the professor of the Department of Geography, Ecology and Tourism, Bahadurkhan Abdimanapov, who presented the teaching staff of the department, as well as invited guests to the audience.


Among the distinguished guests were such experts in their field as the associated professor of geography and social sciences at the University of Gazi (Antalya, Turkey) Bulent Aksoy, doctor of geography from Italy (Genoa) Danilo Pilla, acting head of the tourism department of Almaty Akylbekov Kalibek Adilbekuly.


The event was informative. For example, Professor Bulent Aksoy made a small presentation on the development of tourism in the world and in Turkey, Dr. Danilo Pilla emphasized the importance of tourism and language learning, acting Head of Almaty Tourism Department Akylbekov K.A. spoke about the state of tourism in Kazakhstan.


Deputy Director for Educational Work Nurlan Manapov, Associate Professor Kairat Omarov, Senior Lecturers Sayakhat Alshymbekov and Ardak Aldasheva congratulated all those present on this holiday.


The event was accompanied by games, competitions among students, a concert program and a presentation on tourist and recreational places in Kazakhstan.
