Abai KazNPU team for the adoption of the law «On the status of a teacher»

On August 27, 2019, at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the bill «On the status of a teacher» submitted by the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aymagambetov was approved.

The draft law «On the status of a teacher» was developed on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy N. Nazarbayev.

The developed draft law meets the tasks set by the Head of State K.K. Tokaev on the development of secondary education and improving the quality of knowledge. The main idea of the draft law was to reduce the burden on teachers, protect them from performing unusual functions, freeing up time for self-development and creativity, creating conditions for professional growth and increasing the competitiveness of teachers. Along with this, there is also the task of establishing incentives for teachers and increasing the prestige of the profession.

The team of Abai KazNPU takes an active part in the creation of a model and structure of the bill. The university, being the flagship of teacher training, perceived this task as an assignment that is directly related to its activities.
