The number of students has increased

Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, which celebrates its 90th anniversary in October this year, is the largest scientific and educational center. The main direction of his activity is the preparation of pedagogical personnel for our country.

The University consists of 7 institutes, one faculty, more than 30 departments engaged in the preparation of bachelors, masters and PhD doctors. According to the latest ratings, Abai KazNPU is 481 among the top 500 universities in the world and the 1 st among the pedagogical institutions of higher education of the country. Undoubtedly, this is evidence of hard work and creative search of leadership and staff of the university.

In the new academic year, the university accepted new students. Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Professor Takir Balykbaev, opening the solemn meeting devoted to the Day of Knowledge, congratulated all students and teachers. He stressed that in accordance with the five social initiatives of the President this year, more than 20 thousand state educational grants were allocated, most of which were directed to pedagogical specialties. The holders of these grants also entered the Abai KazNPU. This year, more than 3,500 students joined the ranks of the students, of which 1015 received state educational grants, 224 are holders of «Altyn Belgi» and 174 - certificates with honors. Takir Balykbayev expressed the hope that these students will be able to become the leaders of our university. The rector noted that freshmen did not make a mistake in choosing a university that provides its students with a full-fledged and high-quality education. He also spoke about the history and current potential of the first Kazakh university - Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

Azamat Uzakov and Karina Slun, who spoke on behalf of 1st-year students, assured that they would be the best in their studies and in public life. In a solemn atmosphere, the rector handed them a symbolic key to knowledge and a student card.

The well-known state and public figure Shamsha Berkimbayeva and the representative of France Jules Mams congratulated the collective of the University with the Day of Knowledge.

Rector Takir Balykbayev congratulated undergraduate Adilet Daulimbayev on his victory in the Asian Wrestling Championship in Indonesia and handed him a certificate of 350 thousand tenge.

Solemn meeting ended with a festive concert.

On the same day, the rector and vice-rectors of the university held meetings with students in each institute, gave lectures and answered questions of students.
