Students of KazNPU took part in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi

On 14-22 October 2017, students of Abai KazNPU Tuleshova Saule and Nurzhakyp Enlik took an active part in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students under the slogan "For peace, solidarity and social justice, we are fighting against imperialism - respecting our past, we are building the future!".

The XIX World Festival of Youth and Students is a unique platform where students, young scientists and teachers, representatives of youth organizations, athletes and other activists aged 18-35 from different countries of the world jointly develop the image of the future of the whole Earth.

The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), which has a consultative status with UNESCO, and the National Preparatory Committee of the host country, are the organizers of the event.

The festival was attended by the most active and energetic representatives of the youth of 180 countries who are building the future in various fields and are ready to form the main trends of the planet`s development until 2030. Participants were provided with sites in various directions, where each participant had his own program.

The festival provided an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the traditions and culture of different countries - in one place, collecting a huge number of bright ethnic expositions, where you could not only see the folk features of different ethnic groups, but also hear traditional singing, see dances and even take part in whole ceremonies, and also buy souvenirs. But the main goal of the festival is the exchange of experience on scientific and social achievements, which all the participants of such a useful and bright event demonstrated.

According to our students, the festival gave the participant new forces, acquaintances, friends and good impressions.

Nurzhakyp Enlik: "At this festival we acquainted foreigners with the work of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev. We were very pleased that other people respect and love the work of Abai Kunanbayev. It turned out that monuments to the great poet were established not only in Moscow, but also in Budapest, Beijing, Tehran, Vitebsk and Tashkent. And in Istanbul our compatriots can find a school named after Abai Kunanbayev. In the capital of India, Delhi, you can easily find a street named after our great poet Abai Kunanbayev".

Tuleshova Saule: "60 sites of the main media center dedicated to the future of science and education, where more than 11,000 participants attended 818 scientific and educational events. Including me. 1325 speakers took part in the discussions. It was possible to visit other areas. Everything was free, conscious and cool.

We are very pleased that Sochi was the youth capital of the planet during these 10 days, we are sure that the holiday in our soul will remain for a long time! The most important thing to remember is what the festival taught us and people who have been around all this time: let us not know what awaits us in the future, but all together we can make it bright and happy, because, for this we have absolutely everything".
