"Types and methods of assessing students` academic achievements"

On November 4, 2024, an educational and methodological seminar on the topic "Types and methods of assessing student academic performance" was organized, conducted by Professor Kalampyr Zhumagulova, Department of Biology, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography. The speaker of the seminar was Gulnar Suleimenova, senior lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Subject Methodology of the branch of JSC "Orleu" of the Almaty Institute of Advanced Training.

The seminar was attended by professors of the Department of Geography Bahadurkhan Abdimanapov and Sholpan Karbaeva, senior lecturer Albina Beikitova, head of the Department of Biology Asiya Maimatayeva, Associate Professor Nazym Bekenova, PhD Rita Saimova, Tolganai Sekerova, senior lecturer Gulzhanat Kamieva, as well as students of the specialty "6B01513-Biology".

The speaker shared information about assessment at seminars, types of assessment, tasks for formative assessment on the subject of "Natural Science", assessment criteria, levels of thinking skills and explained why it is important.

During the seminar, undergraduates completed tasks on the Padlet virtual board.
