Procedure for transfer to the grant

The procedure for awarding vacant educational grants for payment of higher or postgraduate studies with the award of a «bachelor» or «master» degree, released in the process of obtaining higher or postgraduate education (Is this a subtitle?)

Vacant educational grants released in the process of obtaining higher or postgraduate education (hereinafter - the vacant grants) are awarded on a competitive basis to fee-paying students in groups of educational programmes.

The announcement of the open competition is placed on the website (educational portal) of the HEI, indicating the number of vacant educational grants in the context of the direction of training and course.

In the competition for vacant educational grants, students with only "excellent" and "good" marks (A, A-, B+, B, B- and C+ ( from January 1, 2019)) for the entire period of study shall be given preference in the case of the same grade point average.

The awarding of vacant educational grants, released in the process of obtaining higher and/or postgraduate education, is carried out during the summer and winter holidays for available vacant places on a competitive basis in the following order:

On bachelor`s degree:
1) a student on a fee basis submits an application to the head of EPHPE for further study on educational grant of higher or postgraduate education;
2) received applications are considered at the meeting of the Academic (Academic) Council and the Supervisory (Board of Trustees) and (or) the Board of Directors;
3) University on the basis of the decision of the Academic (Academic) Council and Supervisory (Trustee) Board and (or) the Board of Directors in time for August 5 and January 15 of the current year sends a list of applicants for transfer to vacant educational grants to the authorized body in the field of education for decision.

The list shall be accompanied by a copy of the learner`s application, the decision of the Academic (Academic) Council and the Supervisory (Board of Trustees) Board and (or) the Board of Directors, an extract from the learner`s transcript, a copy of the identity document and the certificate of the educational grant holder (original) expelled from the EPHPE;

4) on the basis of the issued educational grant certificate, the head of the EPHPE shall issue an order for further study under the educational grant.

For Master`s study:
- students (undergraduates) on a fee basis, applying for a state educational grant, write an application to the rector of Abai KazNPU;
- the office-registration provides the highest results of academic progress (transcripts of master students);
- directorate sends a list of applicants and documents (transcripts, a copy of identity card, minutes for the visa of the director of the institute) for the award of state educational grant to the Academic Council of the University;
- The Academic Council of the University considers the proposals of the Directorate and makes a decision on the transfer (or refusal) to the state educational grant.

The remaining state educational grants regardless of the field of study are awarded on a competitive basis to the applicants with the highest scores (GPA).
