The religious situation in the country: "Islamophobia"

On March 06, 2024, Mamyrbayev Didar, senior lecturer at the Department of World History at the Institute of History and Law, held a seminar on "Islamophobia". The seminar was conducted by the chief expert of the Department of Religious Studies of the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Duisenbayev Zhamalbek for 3rd year students of the specialties "6B01602 History-Religious Studies" and 4th year students "5B013000 History-Religious Studies". The main purpose of educational work is the formation of religious literacy among young people and the search for answers to some questions that require religious studies expertise in relation to diploma projects of 4th year students.

During the educational work, the chief expert of the Department of Religious Studies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Duisenbayev Zh. K. familiarized with the religious situation in society, the state policy on regulating religious affairs, revealed the history and alleged risks of Islamophobic actions in the country. In addition, he recommended that graduates and masters students take up professional employment with the Ministry of Education, Justice and Foreign Affairs as an expert in religious studies.
