Upgrading of scientific knowledge and competences of young researchers

In Abai KazNPU on the basis of the virtual laboratory "Action Research"  during the time from February 5 to 15 2024 was held advanced training course for young research scientists on the educational programme "Action Research - the basis for the formation of the model of teacher-researcher". 

The aim of the course was to stimulate and increase the research activity of young research scientists, doctoral students, master`s students on the basis of studying the theory and technology of introduction of informal forms of research as Action Research into professional practice.

At the opening of the course, welcoming speeches were made by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Y.A. Buribayev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs B.M. Narbekova, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs Kh. Zhanbekov, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology G.A. Abayeva, Professor-researcher of AbaiKazNPU A.E. Berikkhanova.

The educational programme of the course included 6 important modules: international models of Action Research, the role of Action Research in transforming teachers` research activity, methodology of data collection and interpretation, intervention in practice, evaluation of research results and reflective practice, ensuring sustainability of Action Research results for practice change. The trainers of the course shared valuable knowledge gained during the internship at the University of Cambridge, created a set of reflective assignments on the Classroom platform and useful resources for self-development. Course participants appreciated the usefulness of the course in increasing research activity and using non-formal research to improve and change professional practice.
