Memorandum of cooperation and understanding is signed

The rector of the East Kazakhstan Technical University Saule Rahmatullina and the rector of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Darkhan Bilyalov signed a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation between universities. On the basis of this document the leadership of the two universities was drawn up plans for the integration of joint research work, the organization of promising projects for commercialization, to broaden the academic mobility of students, examination of curricula, etc.

Darkhan Bilyalov, noting that this year Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University celebrates its 95th anniversary, introduced to dear guest the history of the country`s first university and shared its current achievements. Saule Rakhmetullina praised the current state of our university. Considering ecology one of the most pressing issues for Kazakhstan, the heads of two higher educational institutions emphasized the importance of the Green metric rating.

Currently at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, research is conducting in the field of SDGs and a special achievement is the implementation of grant funding for the research of young scientists under the «Zhas Galym» project for 2023-2025 under the guidance of post-doctoral student Seilkhan Ainur AP19178093 «Study of mechanisms for the effective implementation of the green University concept in Kazakhstan universities».

Taking into account the tremendous work of the East Kazakhstan Technical University in the field of Green metric, an initiative was supported to exchange experience in the direction of a green university, in particular, to study the mechanisms for implementing the concept of a green university in domestic universities.
