Training on the «Competency-Based Approach in History Teacher Training»

In accordance with the plan of EMA- REMC in the field of education «Pedagogical Sciences» and within the project «Strengthening Capacity of Teacher Education» the training «Competency-Based Approach in History Teacher Training» was held on the basis of Abai KazNPU in the field of education. It was organised by the Educational-Methodical Association in the field of education «Pedagogical Sciences», the EMA-PMG of Abai KazNPU in the direction of training of teachers of humanities (History) and the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov. The event was attended by teachers of history and humanities. The event brought together history teachers, high school principals and teachers, doctoral and master students from about 20 universities across the country in offline and online formats.

The training was opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Gulzhan Zharasova. In her speech she stressed the importance of the event, as the implementation of the task to improve the quality of education is only possible through effective and fruitful work. Gabit Kenzhebaev, Director of the Institute of History and Law and Adilya Baidildina, Director of the Education Program Design Department also took part in the training.

Trainers Gulbanu Izbasarova, Sholpan Nurman, Kulyash Zhugenbaeva, Aliya Uskembaeva and Erlanbek Zhalmagambetov conducted training on «Education Values. General and Key Competencies. Competence-oriented EP «History», «What kind of teacher is waiting for modern school?», «Design of student-centered approach in teaching», «Teaching and learning methods. Assessment System», «Digital Technologies in History Education». Coaching technologies, interactive learning technologies and case analysis were used.

All those present actively participated in the discussion of the issues and shared valuable suggestions for improving the pedagogical activities of the university.
