Meeting with Professor Vedi Ashkaroglu at Giresun University

On October 14, 2022 a meeting of the Head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology N.N.Konkabaeva with Professor of Giresun University (Turkey) Vedi Ashkaroglu was held within the program to attract foreign scholars. At the invitation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan foreign scientist will hold seminars, scientific consultations, master classes for students, graduate and doctoral students of the Institute of Philology. During the meeting, he met with the staff of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation and discussed a number of issues related to the scientific activities. Seminar, round table, webinars and competitions are planned to be held in the near future.

Vedi Ashkaroglu is the author of over 20 textbooks and international impact-factor articles on methods of teaching English. His research interests are in the fields of English Language Teaching Methodology, English Literature, Turkish Literature. He is the founder and head of the Foreign Languages Department at Giresun University.
