Conference «Great personalities of the Great Steppe: batyr Azhibay Naymanbayuly»

On November 25, 2021, within the framework of the state program «Rukhani Zhagyru» and in honor of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an international scientific-practical conference «Great personalities of the Great Steppe: heroism and moral actions of the fighter for independence, batyr Azhibai Naimanbayuly» was held by the Institute of History and Law, the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines. The goal is to analyze the largest historical events in the history of Kazakhstan and foster patriotism among young people.

The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the rector of Abai KazNPU D.N.Bilyalov, president of the public fund «Er-Azhibay batyr» J.Kudaibergenuly. At the plenary session, representatives of the intelligentsia, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the Republican Public Association «Organization of Veterans», Professor U.O. Ozganbaev, Academician of th NAS RK, M.K. Koigeldiev, Honorary Academician of NAS RK, T.O. Omarbekov, member of the National Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan , Academician of the Kazakh Academy of Education B.G. Ayagan, Director of the Sh.Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology Z.E. Kabyldinov, Professor A.Sh. Kadyrbayev, Associate Professor of the Yssyk-Kol State University named after K. Tynystanov A.K. Kanimetov, laureate State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician B. Galiuly, academician of NAS RK, B.B. Karibayev and professor S. Medeubekuly. They talked about the exploits of Kazakh soldiers led by batyr Azhibai and his associates in the fight against the Dzungarian invaders.
