Authors of school textbooks underwent professional development courses

From April 24 to May 6, 2021 in the Center of professional development and distance learning of Abai KazNPU, the professional development courses for the authors of school textbooks «Modern school textbook in the conditions of the renewed content of education» ended. The courses were held in the format of distance learning.

The course program was aimed at raising the professional level of authors in the field of development of school textbooks and tools of expertise of textbooks and teaching materials as part of the updating of the content of secondary education. Much attention was paid to the improvement of skills in implementing the requirements for writing school textbooks in accordance with the current legal and regulatory acts in the field of education.

There were 138 listeners from publishing houses «Almatykitap», «Arman PV», «Sapaly bilim», «EDUStream», «Kelechek-2030», «Atamura», «Academy of development «INTELLECTUAL». The trainees of the courses were both acting authors and authoring groups, and teachers-practitioners, beginning to work on creation of textbooks and teaching-methodical complexes.

16 leading scientists in the field of textbook publishing; 7 of them were the staff members of Abai KazNPU.

At the end of the training a round table was held with the participation of the President of the National Academy of Education named after I. The participants got acquainted with the project of updating the requirements for textbooks and teaching materials, discussed current issues related to the creation and examination of educational literature, improvement of curricula.
