August 10 is the day of Abai

On August 10, 2020 on the initiative of the Department of Educational Work, Preparatory Faculty and Scientific Research Institute "Hakim Abai" the event "10 AUGUST - Day of Abai" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the Great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev was held. Within the framework of the event there was a solemn opening of the cabinet of "Abai-alemi" at the Faculty for foreign citizens and pre-university training.
The event was opened by the first vice-rector Maktagali Bektemesov, he noted the importance of the cabinet for the study of Abai`s work by foreign citizens and popularization of the poet`s heritage at the world level.
The festive event was followed by a flower-laying ceremony at the Abai monument. Guests of the event - Rector of Kazakh National Agrarian University Tilektes Espolov, famous Abayeved Mekemtas Mirzakhmetuly and scientists headed by Rector of the University Takir Balykbayev - in tribute to the memory of Great Abai laid flowers at the monument of the poet, installed at the main academic building of the University.
The online round table "Hakim Abai danalyguy - kazakh khalkinin omirlik philosophy" became the official part of the event.

The rector of the University Takir Balykbayev, congratulating all participants on the Day of Abai, opened the meeting. Emphasizing the importance of philosophical and pedagogical views of the Great Humanist, he particularly noted that the three basic concepts of the Concept of Abai "Tolyk Adam": "nurly akyl", "zhily жүрек", "ystyk kayrat" will be the basis of national education.

Renowned scientist, Abayeved Mekemtas Mirzakhmetuly presented a substantive report on "Tolik Adam bilimnin shygu tarihi", telling about the importance of the teachings of Abai.
The vice-rector on educational work and social development Zhanatbek Ishpekbayev, the director of Institute of philology and polylingual education Baltabay Abdigaziuly, the director of SRI "Hakim Abay" Zhabal Shoynbet also told about importance of studying the heritage of the great thinker.
Students of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Tolegen Madina, Institute of Natural Science and Geography, member of Student Assembly "Birlik" - Adilova Khadicha, Institute of Philology and Polylingual Education, member of the "Birlik" Student Assembly - Angelika Bolovneva, member of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, member of the "Russian club" Summer School - Hutsant Khaitmyradova read poems and words of admonition of Abai.

At the end of the event was presented a video congratulations of foreign students of the Department of Philology for foreign citizens, as well as musical greeting "Potpourri on the songs of Abai" students of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports.

Within the framework of the festive event there were also held online International round table "Alem tanygan Abai", youth Challenge "Kara sozder - dana sozder", poetic evening "Abai zhakkan bir saule sonbeidi".
