International credit mobility and joint master`s degrees Erasmus mundus of Erasmus+ programme

On July 22, 2020, a webinar was held on participation in international credit mobility (ICM) and joint master`s degree (JMD). The organizer of the webinar was the Department of International Programs and Cooperation of Abai KazNPU, the presenter and speaker of the event - the head of the department Sapargalieva Bayan, the second speaker of the webinar was the head of international scientific and cultural relations - Amankulova Balzhan.

The name of the program «Erasmus» comes from the name of the Dutch philosopher Erasmus Roterodamus, a well-known opponent of dogmatism, who lived and worked in many places in Europe to broaden his horizons and gain new knowledge. After his death, he left his entire fortune to the University of Basel.

Erasmus+ recognizes the importance of broad, not limited to EU countries, international cooperation in all areas, especially in higher education. The program supports the international exchange of students, researchers and teachers, as well as the international exchange of ideas and best practices among universities. For 30 years, this program has been operating, which has been transformed and constantly improves opportunities for universities and students from Tempus Tacis, TEMPUS and Erasmus+.

The speakers of the webinar talked about the possibilities and criteria for participation in JMD and ICM, as well as about the possibilities of participation in international internship Erasmus +. Participants were shown official channels and links for registration and participation in joint master`s degree programs.

The webinar was attended by about 40 interested listeners, representatives of universities in Kazakhstan, including: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhezkazgan University named after Baikonurov, Kazakh National Women`s Teacher training University, East Kazakhstan State University named after I. Amanzholov, Taraz State University, South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov, Silkway University, Central Asian University, Civil Aviation Academy, and of course, the main audience from Abai KazNPU, also the National Office of the Erasmus+ Program in Kazakhstan.

Summing up the results of the online meeting, we can highlight the high activity and interest of the audience in the Erasmus+ program.
