Competition of creative projects «Start Project»

As part of the Year of the Volunteer, on February 7, 2020, a contest of creative projects and ideas «START PROJECT» was held among universities in the city of Almaty. The main purpose of the event is the development of relations and the exchange of experience between students of the southern capital.

During the contest, talented students shared interesting projects and ideas in the field of such topics as «Social Support», «IT», «Science» and «Startup». The competition was attended by 55 projects from 15 universities in Almaty.

The vice-rector for educational work and social development Zhanatbek Ishpekbaуev opened the event.

The jury mumbers: Madi Akhmetov, chairman of the Almaty city branch of the «Zhas Otan» youth wing, Zhasulan Kuandyk, head of the Almaty Student Alliance corporate fund, Rauan Okas, head of the «Asyltas» Public Foundation, and Yermukan Nurman, Director of the Center for Youth Initiatives Support «Smart students».

By decision of the jury, the prize places were won: I place - a student of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov Dinmukhammed Daulenov, II place - a student of the Kazakh-British Technical University Aruzhan Amanbaeva, III place - a student of the Kazakh National Women`s teacher training University Zhansaya Ashirbai. In addition, the nomination «Creative project» was awarded to a student of the Kazakh-British Technical University Aron Karataev, in the nomination «New Start» the student of the Kazakh-American University Nairiya Tursunova won.

The prize fund of the competition was:
I place - 100 000 tenge,
II place - 70 000 tenge,
III place - 50 000 tenge,
In two categories - 30,000 tenge.

The competition, initiated by the rector of the university Takir Balykbayev, contributed to the youth to develop their entrepreneurial skills and increase interest in new discoveries.
