Exchange of experience in the volunteer movement

As you know, in 2019, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, at an expanded meeting of the Government of the country, announced that he would declare 2020 the Year of Volunteers as a continuation of the Year of Youth and spoke about the need to engage our youth in active volunteer activities.

Last year, a volunteer league was created at our university and charity work was launched in conjunction with the «Mansap», «Shapagat» and «Smart Student» Youth Initiative Support Centers.

Today, students at Abay University have shown the importance of volunteering in the Year of Volunteers, which is implemented at the state level.

On January 23, 2020, the chairman of the Public Fund of the Republican «League of Volunteers» Aisulu Yerniyazova met with active students at the «Smart Student» center.

During the training, the speaker, with many years of experience in this field, presented the types of volunteering and analyzed the values of this activity in practice.

An informative meeting of volunteers, which covered a wide range of topics, such as their role at the university level, quality of service, clear focus, teamwork, public relations at the city and national levels and much more, was held at a high level. Aisulu Alimzhanovna stated that she fully supports the Abai university volunteer movement and will maintain close relations with the university and the Republican League of Volunteers.
