Graduate students` scholarly internship at Heidelberg University of Education within the programme DAAD

On 3-13 November graduate students of the Institutes for Pedagogy and Psychology, Philology and Multilingual education and History and Law of the Abai KazNPU visited the Pedagogical University of Heidelberg (Germany) as part of a scholarly internship for further training with an emphasis on research methodology, under the project «Eastern Partnership», funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and partially Abai KazNPU.

The internship program includes lectures, seminars and workshops on research methods, the use of digital and innovative technologies in education, working with databases and SPSS, and training specialists for inclusive education. In addition, participants attended public lectures, seminars and workshops on teaching German and English, music and psychology. Campus-tour was arranged at the university library, students had an opportunity to work with catalogues and electronic databases of dissertations, textbooks and monographs.

As the practical part of programme there was arranged a visit to the museum of science and the German comprehensive school, where students were able to observe the contemporary achievements of science, the educational process, the structure of the school and modern teaching methods.
