Children`s contest «Alash umiti» started

From May 12 to June 1, 2022, within the state program «Rukhani zhangyru - bolashakkа baghdar» with the support of trade union of Abai KazNPU workers will conduct a competition «Alash umitі» for children of employees and teachers. The event is dedicated to the Day of Political Repression celebrated in Kazakhstan on 31 May and the International Children`s Day on 1 June.

The aim of the competition is to enhance knowledge of the works of classic poets of Kazakh literature from the beginning of the 20th century to the period of political repressions of 1938 and to strengthen the national spiritual memory through the moral words of poetry.

Participants should send a video to whats app 8701 497 9615 from May 12 till May 27 of the current year. When submitting the contest material it is necessary to specify the title of the poem and its author, name, age of the participant, job position and place of work of parents, contact phone number.

The award ceremony will take place on June 1, 2022. Winners of the competition will be selected in different age groups - pre-schoolers 3-6 years old and pupils in grades 1-5, 7-10 years old. All winners will be awarded a special Rector`s Diploma and valuable gifts.

The winning videos will be posted on the university`s official website and on social media.
