Round table «Reform of the Latin-Kazakh script: present and future» will be held

On April 14, 2022 at 11.00 a.m., the scientific and practical laboratory «Latyn» at the Abai LABS scientific and innovative park of the Abai  Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the Higher School of Humanities of the Caspian University will hold a round table on the topic «Reform of the Latin-Kazakh script: present and future».

Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Orazbayeva F.Sh. with the report «Reform of national writing: principles» and professor of the department of the Kazakh language and literature named after S. Kirabayev Kalybayeva K.S. with the report «Actual problems of Latin-Kazakh writing», Rakhmetova R.S. with a report on the topic «Methods of studying the Latin alphabet.» The round table will be attended by a member of the Spelling Group under the National Commission, a leading researcher at the Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics Rsalieva N.M. She will make a report on the topic «Linguistic Protectionism - a Mechanism for Preserving National Identity».

The event will be continued by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, PhD, аssoc. рrofessor Kirichok O.V., Dean of the Higher School of Humanities, PhD Sciences, аssociate рrofessor Tairov A.T. and Deputy Dean for Science of the Higher School of Humanities, Ph.D., аssoc. professor Nogaybaeva Zh.A.

The round table will be attended by teachers, representatives of educational institutions, students, undergraduates and doctoral students.
