Vacant position:

Director of the Strategy Department

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

- Organization and support of the strategic planning process (holding sessions on strategic planning, activities to develop strategic goals, working out ways to achieve strategic goals);

- Development of the University Development Strategy; Formation of key strategic development documents;

- Ensuring control over the achievement of strategic goals (audit of the Strategy, monitoring of the plan for the implementation of the tasks of the Strategy and the Development Plan of the University, the sustainability of the functioning of the strategy processes);

- Control over the implementation of the Development Strategy in the structural divisions of the university;

- Provision of consulting services to structural divisions on the University Development Strategy;

- Qualitative monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy Implementation Plan;

- Organization and coordination of work on the participation of the university in world rankings (institutional, subject, in terms of employability, etc.);

- Risk identification and risk management.

Main job responsibilities:

- Preparation of the text of the Strategy, making adjustments to it, preparation of the presentation of the Strategy;

- Providing information to structural divisions about the adopted Strategy;

- Analysis of the implementation of the Strategy Implementation Plan;

- Preparation of annual reports / reports on sustainable development / integrated reports of the Company;

- Organization of the Department`s activities, ensuring control over the execution of orders;

- Maintenance of business relations with structural divisions of the Company;

- Maintaining the effective functioning of the risk management and internal control system in accordance with the functions of the Department within the framework of the business processes entrusted to the Department.

Education:

Higher, social and humanitarian education

It is advisable to have an academic degree of at least a master`s

Availability of certificates of completion of courses in strategic management, management in education, etc.

Required professional experience (duration, scope, other)

5 years, academic field, administrative experience in departments of the university related to the development of strategy, with the participation of the university in various rankings

Professional competencies:

 1. Organization of the development of the Strategy, the plan for the implementation of the Strategy;

2. Constant monitoring of the implementation of the implementation plan of the Strategy of the University and educational institutions;

3. Assistance in conducting strategic sessions;

4. Preparation of a report on the implementation of the Development Strategy and Development Plan;

5. Organization of work on the participation of the university in world rankings;

6. Identify risks and propose ways to minimize risks;

7. Assistance in conducting training of employees on issues related to the competence of the Department;

9. Participation in the development of internal regulatory documents of the University

Personal competencies and qualities:

Sociability, flexibility, responsibility, honesty, dedication, punctuality, ability to work in a team, adaptability, time management, organizational skills, presentation skills, developed emotional intelligence, stress resistance.

Knowledge of languages, including the state language (list of languages that the candidate must speak)

Kazakh - fluent

Russian - fluent

English - read, write, understand at least A2 level

Computer skills:

Good command of MS Office (Word, Outlook), Excel, Google Drive / Docs / Meet, ZOOM, PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva, work with Social Media, e-mail, document writer.
