«Life is the best that we have»

On November 12 and 14, 2024, with the support of the Almaty Youth Policy Department, a training course "life is the most precious thing we have" was held. The course was attended by psychologists from the psychological support service of the Abai KazNPU.

Тhe purpose of the course is to increase the knowledge and theoretical and practical experience of psychological specialists in the protection of students` psychological health and the prevention of STI diseases, sex education, prevention of bad habits and suicides.

During the training course, the director of the Institute of Psychoanalysis of Central Asia, psychoanalyst Anna Kudiyarova made an important presentation on the topic "Suicide prevention" and conducted practical exercises on suicide prevention among the participants. In addition, psychoanalyst Saltanat Kuttybayeva shared her experience in the "Prevention of bad habits". During the training course, Zhanna Vlasova, Master of Medical Sciences, coach of the CMPA on reproductive health, held a seminar on the topic "Educating teachers on the prevention of gender-based and other types of violence."

This training course is an important measure aimed at improving the professional qualifications of psychologists and improving the psychological health of students. Specialists effectively apply the acquired knowledge in order to provide psychological support to students.
