An event dedicated to the Day of the Elderly

On October 10, 2024, athletics competitions were held at the Mukhtar Auezov Stadium, organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Initial Military Training of Abai KazNPU. The event was dedicated to the Day of the Elderly, and it was attended by elderly residents of Medeu, Bostandyk, Nauryzbay, Almaly, Turksib, Zhetysu and Auezov districts of Almaty. The participants competed in running: men - at a distance of 100 m, women - at a distance of 60 m, as well as in long jump and other sports.

The purpose of the event is to popularize among the younger youth the example of exemplary, wise and conscientious older generations, as well as the education of good and moral qualities.
