Annual attestation of postdoctoral fellows has been completed

On February 14, 2024, 7 postdoctoral fellows: Tileuberdi Erbol, Usenov Nurbol, Shakirova Nurzhanat, Ospankulov Ernar, Sadirbekova Dinara, Nishanbayeva Sabira, and Bayshemirov Zharasbek had the annual attestation, where successfully completed the second year of the postdoctoral program.

Despite being only in their second year of postdoctoral training, the fellows have achieved remarkable results: Tileuberdi Erbol has been included in the TOP-50 researchers of the General Rating of Kazakhstan, Bayshemirov Zharasbek has been awarded a state scholarship for talented young scientists. In total, during the past year, the postdoctoral fellows have published 21 articles in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and WoS databases, among which 16 publications are in journals with a high CiteScore percentile (not less than 50 and at least Q1, Q2), and 21 publications in journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, along with 6 monographs, textbooks, and teaching aids. Out of the 7 postdoctoral fellows, 5 are project leaders of grants funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These achievements positively impact the enhancement of the university`s research potential as well as its standing in global rankings.

Looking at the accomplishments of the postdoctoral fellows within just one year, it can confidently be stated that the Abai University Postdoctoral Program is a unique platform for young researchers to enhance their research potential, metrics, expand professional skills, and achieve outstanding results in their scientific fields.
