Scientists of Abai University realise a project on research of tolerance as one of the basic values of Kazakhstani society

Within the framework of grant financing of young scientists "Jas galym" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2024 senior lecturer of the chair of political science and socio-philosophical disciplines of the Institute of History and Law Asem Sabitkyzy continues the implementation of the project IRN AP14972713 "The principle of tolerance in social development: tasks and practice of implementation". The scientific adviser of the project is Zhomart Simtikov, Head of the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Sciences.

Essence comprehension of tolerance seems to be very relevant for social philosophy of modern Kazakhstan and, despite the positive achievements of the implementation of this principle by our republic, there is still a certain need for permanent comprehension of the phenomenon of tolerance, which is associated, first of all, with the demands of time and the changing nature of social processes. With the reliance on tolerance any society has a better chance to overcome the transitional, transitory stages of its development. Tolerance in modern Kazakhstan society faces the challenges posed by crisis phenomena in the political, economic and social life of society. Therefore, tolerance, carried out in practice, should be based both on normative-legal regulators and on philosophical, worldview understanding of it. The main social and economic effect from the implementation of new ideas and results of the project will be the acquisition by people of new worldview orientations and meaning-life perspectives in the conditions of spiritual modernisation of the country.

The main expected outcome of the project will be the publication of a monograph, which will present a system of knowledge and scientific results that open up opportunities for a new understanding and attitude to the principle of tolerance, related to the cardinal democratisation of Kazakhstani society in the light of political reforms and the construction of New Kazakhstan. The project "Jas galym" is designed not only to deepen the scientific understanding of tolerance, but also to bring practical benefits for the formation of a harmonious society based on respect and mutual understanding.
