Methodological assistance to rural teachers

Within the framework of the IRN project AP13067931 "Development of methodological foundations for the application of digital geoinformation technologies in teaching geography of updated content (as an example of senior classes)", funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, young scientists of Abai KazNPU, in particular PhD, Aliaskarov Duman, Usenov Nurbol, doctoral students Nurmugambetuly Zhanbolat and Bakanov Nursultan held master classes in rural schools of Turkestan and Zhambyl regions on "Applied bases of geoinformation technologies in teaching school geography of updated content". Geography teachers from 109 schools of Turkestan and 33 schools of Zhambyl regions took part in the event organised to provide methodological assistance to rural teachers.

Our young scientists demonstrated methods and techniques of using geo-information technologies and resources, map services and geoportals, as well as remote sensing materials that can be applied in geography education. The author`s textbook "Geoinformation Technologies and Resources in Geographic Education", developed for senior classes of general education schools of the country, was presented during the master classes.
