I am a 21st Century Teacher!

On April 26, 2023 in honour of 95th anniversary of Abai KazNPU and Pedagogy Department of Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology an event "I am a 21st Century Teacher!" was held, dedicated to presentation of creative projects of graduates of pedagogical classes among pupils of school № 154 named after I. K. Mandoki, RSHI named after Abai, grammar school № 81, SFML named after Sh. Smagulov, some schools of Almaty city and Almaty region.

The purpose - on the basis of the concept of education development in the RK for 2022-2026 years and in accordance with the provisions of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai to conduct adaptation of students of pedagogical classes to the profession of "teacher" from their school years, raising of interest, strengthening of cooperation and creation of opportunities for self-development in future teaching activities. Forming of speech culture of students by such factors as rich vocabulary, logicality, concreteness, effectiveness, accuracy is also one of the tasks of pedagogical classes, it has a vital relevance and is built on the topics, solution of which includes knowledge and creative thinking of students, research skills.

The event was opened by the Rector of Abai KazNPU, the author of the project "Pedagogical class" Darkhan Bilyalov, who inspired the first graduates of the pedagogical class with bright lines of the poem "Men zhastarga senemin" by Magzhan Zhumabaev and wished good luck.

The works of the students touched upon the actual issues of cognitive and educational value, such as "The first step to the profession of a teacher", "Modern ideas in the pedagogical heritage of A. Baitursynov", "Confidence of the student is the basis of the success of the teacher", "What will be the education of the Alpha-generation", "The image of the teacher who gave the warmth of his heart to children", "The teacher`s classroom and its future", "Professional competence of the teacher in the era of digital technology" and others. Under the joint leadership of school teachers and associate professors of Abai KazNPU, students showed in their projects and innovative approach, getting high results by such criteria and descriptors as practical relevance of the content of the creative work, creativity, novelty, use of visual aids, the ability to use digital technology rationally.

The members of jury were director of Academic affairs department of KazNPU named after Abai Zhanbekov Khairulla, teacher of Kazakh language and literature of secondary school No. 142, trainer Karymsakova Zhanat, senior methodologist of the Iliysk district division of Educational Development Centre of Almaty region Sarsenbayeva Ayan. They expressed their warm wishes to the students and noted that the pupils were able to creatively reveal the given topic. Graduates of the pedagogical class were invited to become students of a leading pedagogical university in Kazakhstan.

... The twig is not only admired for its freshness, it will also grow and become a baiterek. Well, the baiterek... It has a special place! Baiterek is a symbol of greatness and generosity. Its deep-rooted roots, its fan-shaped leaf serve not only for itself but for many people. Every graduate of our pedagogical class is a Baiterek, serving the country and the people!
