Town Hall-format: meetings continue

On April 14, 2023 Abai University leadership met with students of the university in Town Hall-format. The meeting was attended by Rector Darkhan Bilyalov, Vice-Rector for Administration and Finance Klara Isakova, Vice-Rector for Social Development Shyngys Nurlanov, Director of Academic Affairs Khairulla Zhanbekov, Director of Department for Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy Didarbek Dildabek.

Town Hall-format is a relatively new form of communication between students and their university professors and managers. At such events, students can freely discuss their problems, propose ways to solve them, and express ideas and ways to develop their institutions, the university and its structural units, with which their studies and other aspects of student life are linked.

Darkhan Bilyalov stressed the importance of such events and invited students to be active and courageous in discussing pressing issues. "In order to improve the learning process, improve the quality of education and solve everyday problems, such meetings are very necessary. This is a great opportunity to discuss specific problems of our university and promptly solve them. The administration needs to hear first-hand about everything", he said.

The rector said he always supports students who are eager to gain new knowledge, want to do science and creativity, and take the time to improve themselves. "Therefore, if you want to improve your education and get additional skills, we are always ready to support. Our objective is to train highly professional and competitive specialists", added the first head of the university. It was stressed that with the feedback provided, it is possible to make the positive changes needed to maintain a comfortable environment at Abai University.

During the meeting students have received answers to their questions related to education, internships, career opportunities, social work, sport and creativity, accommodation conditions in student hostels, development of university infrastructure, etc. The Rector wished the students success in all areas of life.
