Increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstan`s pedagogical education

On January 17, 2023 at Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai an extended meeting of educational-methodical association in the field of education «Teaching sciences» on the theme «Increasing of competitiveness of RK pedagogical education» was held. Rector Darkhan Bilyalov, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Gulzhan Dzharasova, representatives of the Ministry of National Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and fifty higher educational institutions of the country, engaged in training of pedagogical direction, took part in the meeting. The work of the meeting was conducted in the form of plenary and parallel breakout sessions.

In his speech, Darkhan Bilalov stressed the importance of this meeting with the participation of representatives of the line ministry, noting that the issues discussed on the agenda have a high role in the development of education in the country and the training of teaching staff. «Pedagogical tasks to implement the Concept of Education Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026 require systematic work. Higher education institutions are faced with responsible tasks to improve the quality of education and strengthen the pedagogical potential. Innovations in education, modernization of the content and increasing competitiveness of future personnel are the needs of the time», he said.

During the meeting, acting Chairman of the Committee of Higher and Post-graduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Banu Narbekova spoke in detail about the role of EMA-REMC in implementing the Education Development Concept for 2022-2026, the main indicators for improving the quality of education, the direction of the Concept, the content of secondary education, the formation of a system of values through educational work.

The plenary session covered the tasks of EMA pedagogical direction on the implementation of the Education Development Concept for 2022-2026, features of the development and examination of innovative educational programmes in the field of education «Teaching Sciences», changes and innovations in the National Qualification Testing (NCT), recommendations were given.

The moderators of the parallel sectional session Aidos Mukhataev, Director of the National Centre of Higher Education Development, Ruslan Emelbaev, Director of the National Testing Centre of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK, Ms. Amina Mukhambetova, Head of the Office of Higher Education Content Management, National Centre for Higher Education Development, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK and Gulzhan Djarasova, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Abai KazNPU together with the participants of the meeting discussed the topical issues of the EP registry, algorithm for implementation of 30 new educational programs developed under the WB project «Enhancing Pedagogical Capacity of the Republic of Kazakhstan» to the Register, NCT and NLA issues.
