Kazakhstan strengthens ties with Uzbekistan in education

On May 20-24, 2022 representatives of Abai University took part in the international educational exhibition «Education and Profession» in Tashkent, organized with the support of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan, the Youth Agency of Uzbekistan, Rossotrudnichestvo representative office, the national office of ERASMUS+ and others.

During the conference a presentation on educational programmes and student life at Abai University was given. During the event the university staff met with the Pro-Rector of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami and discussed the issues of further mutual cooperation and reached an agreement on opening of two-degree programs.

During this visit to Uzbekistan, visits were made to district schools in Navoi Region, where members of the Kazakh diaspora study. During a meeting with Kazakh school leavers representatives of our university told about scholarship programs of Ministry of Education and Science of RK for «kandas», explained step by step the delivery and registration for the UNT and discussed issues of admission to Abai University. A meeting was also held at Navoi State Pedagogical University, where a memorandum of cooperation between our universities was signed.
