Students visit traditional museums in Almaty

From February 21 to April 13, 2022 within the framework of state program «Rukhani zhangyru», to strengthen the cultural potential and familiarization with history, cultural and spiritual values of Almaty, and in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Great Teacher of the Nation Akhmet Baitursynov and the 110th anniversary of the state and public figure Dinmukhamed Kunayev in Abai KazNPU there was organized the project «Almaty museumlerine sayahat».

The aim is to acquaint students from remote regions with accumulated material values of Almaty, with rich history, valuable culture and spirituality of Kazakh society.

Looking deep into the life of our beautiful city, where centuries-old history is hidden, more than 800 undergraduate students of Abai KazNPU visited the memorial house of A. Baitursynuly, memorial house of D. Kunayev and exposition of national musical instruments museum named after Yykylas. In order to expand special social and cultural cooperation, students had the opportunity to visit the museum with 50% discount and enjoy the experience of excursions and knowledge gained.

The university management expresses special gratitude to Gani Mailibayev, Head of the Almaty Department of Culture and the management of the Association of Museums of the city, who expressed their support in opening the doors of the museums to students within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement.
