Independence of Kazakhstan and spiritual and cultural values

On June 17, 2021, the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference «Independence of Kazakhstan and Spiritual and Cultural Values» dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at Abai KazNPU. Our university was one of the first to hold an event dedicated to this historic date at the international level.

Famous public and state figures of Kazakhstan and other neighboring and distant foreign countries, famous scientists, eminent writers, cultural workers and artists, heads and scientists of leading educational institutions, research centres, university professors and lecturers, young scientists from USA, Turkey, Korea, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia and etc. took part in the conference.

Rector of the University Darkhan Bilyalov made a welcoming speech. He noted the relevance of the issues discussed at the conference, as well as the achievements of Kazakhstan during its years of independence.

The conference discussed the results of the country`s development over these years and such topical issues: new directions in the study of language and literature over the years of sovereignty; independent Kazakhstan and contemporary art; spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples: yesterday, today, tomorrow; free Kazakhstan and the eastern world; Russian philology in Kazakhstan and in the world: aspects of integration; modern methodological principles of foreign language education.

Renowned poet and public figure Olzhas Suleimenov noted that 30 years of independence became a great historical period for the country. Thanks to Semey-Nevada, nuclear tests on the long-suffering Semipalatinsk land were cancelled, and the closure of the test site became a bright page in the history of independence. But, it is a pity that the day October 17, 1989, when the test site was closed, has not yet gone down in the history of our country as a special date.

During the conference such prominent figures of the country as the first Kazakh cosmonaut, the Hero of the Soviet Union, Halyk Kaharmany Toktar Aubakirov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Romania Nurbakh Rustemov, director of M. Auezov Institute of literature and art, professor Kenjehan Matyzhanov told about the history of Kazakhstan, its achievements in the international scene during the years of independence, tendencies of development of national literature. They noted that the 30 years of independence of Kazakhstan was a significant period of spiritual and overall development of the country.

In opinion of participants of conference, the modern literature and art - a basis of spiritual and cultural values of the independent country, the indicator of its place in world culture, art consciousness in development of civilization. Therefore, examination of achievements of Kazakhstan in the sphere of spiritual development, the decision of own problems in achievement of these successes is especially actual.

Participants of a meeting thanked the management of university for carrying out such scale event devoted to anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
