Training in medical emergencies

On April 16, 2021, the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy and the Health Centre organised an emergency medical training on «Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation».

The event was opened by Kazyna Bekbenbetova, acting Director of the Department of Education, Social Work and Youth Policy, who stressed the importance of constant practice in emergency care and the need for daily monitoring of sanitary and epidemiological requirements and quarantine measures. Staff and students are the main asset of the University, and a skilled medical staff can save lives and health in case of an emergency.

The training was conducted by Shyngys Dzhangaziev, an internationally certified AHA trainer (BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS) and University Health Center doctor.

Training on emergency medical care will take place on a regular basis. Aliya Zhabbarkhanova, a doctor of the Health center, and a full team of nursing staff from the educational buildings` first aid stations participated in the training.

Participants received an increased knowledge of possible causes of circulatory arrest and unconsciousness, importance of early chest compressions in case of circulatory arrest, rules of first aid call, signs of heart operation, rules of artificial respiration.
