Scientific and Practical center «Latyn» held an online round table on the topic «Writing reform:

a new alphabet based on Latin graphics and its application»

On February 12, 2021, the ZOOM platform hosted a round table on the topic «Writing reform: a new alphabet based on Latin graphics and its application», organized by the scientific and practical center «Latyn», which was held on behalf of the meeting of the National Commission for the Translation of the Kazakh Script into Latin Graphics, held on January 28, 2021.

The main purpose of the round table was to conduct large-scale information and explanatory work among the population to improve the alphabet of the Kazakh language based on Latin graphics, to discuss the latest version of the alphabet.

During the meeting, the director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov Anar Fazylzhanova, Professor Alimkhan Zhunusbek, Professor Ayman Aldasheva and Doctor of Philology Kuralai Kuderinova made presentations.

Professor of Al-Farabi KazNU, Doctor of Philology Zhubaeva Orynai, Professor of Abai KazNPU, Doctor of Philology Kalamkas Kalybayeva, graduate of KazNPU, associate professor Edil Ospanov, studying in the UK with the program «Bolashak», etc. expressed their opinion about the new alphabetic version.

The event was attended by university teachers (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, M. Dulati TarSU, Kazakh National Women`s teacher training University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University), school teachers, trainers of the Center of the National Research Center «Orleu», teachers, undergraduates and doctoral students of our university.
