Although in 2021 the pandemic is still ongoing, but at the same time, this year is a year of development of spiritual values. This year is the anniversary of the prominent figures of the Kazakh nation: the 230th anniversary of Isatay Taimanuly, a close associate of the national hero Makhambet; the 180th anniversary of the Kazakh educator Ybyray Altynsarin, the 175th anniversary of the poet Zhambyl Zhabayev, the 155th anniversary of the Kazakh ethnicity`s leader Alikhan Bokeikhanuly, the 150th anniversary of the first wrestler Kazhymukan Munaitpasov, the 145th anniversary of the Alash politician Zhakyp Akbayev, the 125th anniversary of the founder of the national theater Serke Kozhamkulov, the 115 the anniversary of the famous composer Akhmet Zhubanov, the 115th anniversary of the poet Mariam Khakimzhanova, the 105th anniversary of the writer Khamit Yergaliev, and the 90th anniversary of the poet Mukagali Makatayev.
Obviously, the collection of Mukagali Makatayev`s poems alone, for which famous songs have been written, will exceed the volume of one book. Probably, there are few Kazakhs who did not sing the songs written by the poet, from a little boy to an old man. During the event, the audience was delighted with the bright melodic songs performed by students.
After a short game dedicated to the poet`s work, the main scene was given to the guests of the evening. The deputy director of the institute for educational work Yerlan Kasenov and honored teachers of the department expressed sincere congratulations and recited the poet`s poems.
The literary and educational evening ended with the dedication of the student Sharipbaeva Aruzhan «Conversation with the poet».
The Kazakh people nowadays consider as their duty to pay tribute to the memory of the deceased poet, to glorify the greatness of the poet with a grandiose triumph in the endless Kazakh prairies. The light of Mukagali Makatayev, who flashed like a star in the firmament of Kazakh poetry, will not fade away.
