Scientist of Abai University was awarded with a state award

On the eve of Independence Day of the country by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan a large group of citizens was marked with state awards for his significant contribution to the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples, active social activities. The awardees include prominent representatives of the production sector, business, education, healthcare, military servicemen, law enforcement officers, athletes, veterans of war and labour, workers of culture and science.

The Order of «Otan» was awarded to Aliya Sarsenovna Beisenova, Professor of Abai KazNPU, the Head of the Centre «Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay».

Beisenova Aliya Sarsenovna - geographer, Doctor of Geographical Sciences (1984), professor (1985), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan (1994), Honored Worker of Higher School of Kazakhstan (1987). She was awarded the Badge of Honour. Her scientific works are devoted to the history of physical and geographical study of the territory of Kazakhstan, problems of ecology, peculiarities of nature and economic development of Kazakhstan. Her works on research of geographical notes of Shokan Ualikhanov are highly appreciated.
