Formation of national consciousness of students based on the idea «Мangilik El»

The national round table «Formation of the national consciousness of students on the basis of the patriotic idea «Мangilik El» was held in accordance with the agreed comprehensive plan of the University.

University Rector Takir Balykbayev opened the event and outlined the main goal of this important national project. The head of the university noted that «National idea «Мangilik El» will be the key to the revival of the ancient Turkic worldview, identity, foundations of nomadic civilization, development of Kazakhstan as a leading powerful state. With gaining independence, the republic got an opportunity to implement this idea. The national idea «Мangilik El» means that the bright future of our people will allow Kazakhstan to keep up with developed countries. This is a new stage, based on issues of unity and peace, strengthening the economy, social protection, national security, culture and language. In today`s conditions of the country`s development, the national idea «Мangilik El» is a confident step into the future. It should mobilise all Kazakhstani people to solve important problems facing society».

Valikhanova, Professor Ziyabek Kabuldinov, Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov, Professor Anar Fazylzhanova, Chairman of the Scientific-Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Almaty, Head of Department of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religion Mukhtarbek Shaykemelov, Chairman of the Republican YW «Zhas Otan» Yelnur Beisenbayev, representative of the Project Office «Rukhani Zhanguiru» in Almaty Gaukhar Baitashova.

During the event, the role of the idea «Мәңгілік El» in the history of the Kazakh people and its importance was defined, and attention was paid to the formation of modern national identity. On the basis of the national idea, ways to improve the spiritual, moral and patriotic qualities of young people were discussed in detail.

The online event was attended by public figures, scientists, representatives of research institutes and more than 300 university teachers and students.

The national round table, organised by the Department for Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy and the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, was held at a high level.
