Online chess tournament was held

During the state of emergency in the country, in accordance with the educational plan of the university, from April 20 to 22, 2020, an online chess tournament was held among students of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics.

Thanks to the activity of students, 36 participants took part in the event, divided into six groups of six people. Participants played through the special program «Lichess».

As a result of the tournament, the first place was taken by a 2nd year student of the specialty «Mathematics» Aysnkhanova Ainur and received a cash prize in the amount of 15,000 tenge, the 2nd place was taken by a 1st year student of the specialty «Mathematics-Physics» Khairetdinova Dariya (10 000 tenge), 3rd place was taken by a 1st year student of the specialty «Mathematics-Informatics» Saparbayev Zharas, he received 5000 tenge.

At the end of the event, participants expressed great gratitude to the university leadership and organizers.
