Meeting with an outstanding person

The next lecture of the Center «Faces of the Great Steppe» of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, dedicated to the life, work and personality of the outstanding state and public figure Bizhamal Ramazanova, took place on September 18, 2019. Opening the meeting, the rector of the university, Takir Balykbayev, spoke about the life and government activities of Bizhamal Ramazanova.

She began her career as a Komsomol member and a party worker; she worked as secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR in the 60s and 70s, and then as chairman of the Kazakh Committee for Cooperation with Asia and Africa. She was the head of the Main Archival Directorate under the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR. Over the years, she received the title of an outstanding figure in the formation of legislation and parliamentary system in the country, strengthening of relations with Kazakhstan abroad and the withdrawal of the archive at the international level.

Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, well-known teacher Karabalina Orynsha, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Erengaip Shaikhutdinov, well-known statesman and public figure Gainiken Bibatirova, prominent public figure, talented organizer of high school Shamsha Berkimbaeva, writer-dramatist, critic, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of State Prize Sabit Dosanov, Head of the reading hall of the Central State Archive of RK Aigul Shalabaeva Berikbaevna, professor of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov Mendyganim Shaimerdenova and others who participated in the meeting, commented in detail on the well-deserved work of Bizhamal Ramazanovna and her good personality.

In her speech, B. Ramazanova called on university students to become prominent figures of our Independent Kazakhstan.
