Cooperation between Abai University and NGS New Generation School

In the academic year 2022-2023 Abai University within the framework of the project KazDual «Implementation of Dual System in Kazakhstan» (Project reference: EU 618835-EPP-1-2020-1-KZ-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP Term: 15.01.2021 -14.01.2024) by program: Erasmus+ launched a pilot project for the implementation of the dual education model in specialty «B003-Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education». The partner was the New Generation School NGS. As previously reported, on April 1, 2022, Darkhan Bilyalov, Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abai KazNPU and Olga Pak, Commercial Director of NGS New Generation School, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

On September 14, 2022 at Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology the meeting of the project members with pilot group of dual training - the students of the 1st year of study «6B01303-primary education with ICT» was held. An introductory training on dual training was held and the tripartite agreement was explained. Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Galiya Abaeva and KazDual project coordinator, PhD, postdoctoral fellow Bayan Sapargalieva spoke about the progress of the project at Abai University.

Within the framework of Memorandum for implementation of pilot program of dual education in pedagogical direction jointly educational program, curriculum for specialty «6B01303-primary education with information and communication technologies» (Russian department), annual calendar of educational process, plan of measures on providing educational process in the framework of dual education were developed.

The Department of Primary Education (Head of Department and Head of EP «6B01303-Primary education with Information and Communication Technology» Prof. Zhumabaeva Asia) held a series of meetings with the working group of the school. They were attended by the curriculum developer Associate Professor Asel Stambekova, group adviser and KazDual project member Associate Professor Asel Akpaeva, director of training and development department at New Generation School NGS Kim Irina and her deputy Anastasia Maistrenko.

Collaboration between NGS New Generation School and Abai University is aimed at developing new pedagogical approaches to professional motivation of students and the formation of active learning activities.
