Methodological seminar for teachers «Coaching and Mentoring in Education»

On 22 February 2022 the methodological seminar on «Coaching and Mentoring in Education» for teaching staff of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology was held by Professor A.H.Arenova of the department of professional training of the educational program «Primary education».

Various aspects devoted to coaching and mentoring in professional training of specialists were discussed during the event. Also the key competencies of the XXI century and requirements of the State Compulsory Standard for the content of higher education with focus on learning outcomes were reviewed. As a consequence, the following issues were elaborated: role repertoire of a modern teacher, teacher`s skills, GROW model, coaching tools, formats of coaching in a teacher`s work. Also the qualities of a mentor, forms, methods and types of mentoring in higher education institutions were discussed.
