«Stem-festival» was held for schoolchildren

The transition to new technologies is now identified as one of the most important factors in each country`s competitiveness in the twenty-first century. In the field of education, there is a need to improve the quality of teaching of mathematical and natural sciences at all levels of education, which should provide a condition for preparing young people for a new technological course. Today STEM technology is one of the current areas of education, which is an integrated approach of learning. At the Department of Pedagogy and methods of primary education of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology «Stem - festival» is an annual tradition.

On February 27, 2020 within the framework of the joint activity of School-Higher Education Institution, in № 201 school-gymnasium under the leadership of senior teachersA.N. Umirbekova and A.S. Tazabekova «Stem - festival» was held. This technology is designed to increase students interest in engineering and natural sciences by providing them with new opportunities to develop research capabilities. The purpose of the event is to stimulate students to study modern technologies, develop their skills of practical solution of topical tasks. Actively participated group of R.M. Koyanbayev in an action (2nd year students of PMPE) and 4 «a» a class of school gymnasium No. 201. 43 pupils worked in mini-groups in 4 areas: science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Following the results of the festival, they were awarded diplomas from the university with the signature of the rector. We thank all the participants of the festival, teachers, management!
