International round table: a modern assessment of student knowledge
Time is rapidly moving forward, dictating new requirements to us. The traditional assessment no longer satisfies, even interferes with working with a modern schoolchild. The current school is very different from yesterday. Today, according to new standards, teachers are required to systematically evaluate the educational achievements of students, what is called a criteria-based assessment. In this regard, on February 12, 2020, the Chair of PMPE of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology organized and held an international round table «Problems and Prospects of Modern Assessment».
Representatives of Grodno State University named after Y. Kupala (Belarus), Kazan Federal University and Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University (Russia) attended the meeting.
Students shared their views on the following issues:
1. The assessment of the pros and cons. The views of teachers and scientists on this issue.
2. Basic requirements of the assessment system.
3. Prospects for modern assessment.
In the discussion, all present drew attention to the fact that the teacher should effectively use the existing potential of each student individually and the class as a whole; evaluate knowledge, move to new heights.
All participants of the event were awarded certificates.
