Excursion to the Boralday Sak mounds will take place

In honor of the International Day for the Protection of Monuments, on April 16, 2022, at 10.30 am, the »Rukhani Zhangyru» project office will host an educational excursion to the archaeological complex of the Boraldai Sak mounds «Orkenietter alemi» (world of civilizations) for university students.

The excursion to the archaeological park in the open air is organized within the framework of the state program «Rukhani zhangyru-Bolashakka bagdar» sacred geography of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the cognitive expedition is to activate spiritual cognition and educational search for holy places by students from remote regions, adaptation to the skills of specialization, Promotion of the deep history of the region.

Boraldai Sak mounds are one of six monuments included in the national list of sacred sites in the city of Almaty. The archaeological complex, consisting of 47 Saka mounds and 200 Uysun mounds, is located in the Alatau district, between the Ulken Almaty and Boraldai rivers, the only monument on the territory of Almaty, whose history dates back more than two and a half thousand years, preserved from the early Iron Age.

To get acquainted with the history, anthropology, archeology, toponymy and ethnography of a unique object, university students are transported by a special bus. Places are limited.

The project is implemented on the basis of an agreement on cultural cooperation with the support of the Department of Culture of the city of Almaty, the association of museums of the city of Almaty.
