Acceptance of documents for admission to doctoral studies has started

On November 1, 2021, the acceptance of documents for the second entrance exam for admission to doctoral studies began. It will last until November 15, 2021.

We will remind, earlier the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov announced the decision taken in favor of Kazakhstanis who want to re-try to enter the magistracy and doctoral studies.

From now on, documents will be accepted twice a year. The competition will be open to both applicants who could not apply for a grant in the summer, and those who have not previously passed the entrance exam.

We remind you that this year the rules for admission to doctoral studies have been changed. Now admission to doctoral studies is carried out according to the results of the entrance exam, which is held in electronic format in regional testing centers on the principle «1 applicant - 1 computer - 1 camera». This measure is aimed at ensuring the transparency of the examination procedure.

The entrance exam includes essay writing, a doctoral readiness test and a group profile examination of the study program.

Registration for participation in the second entrance exam will take place on the website of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan app.testcenter.kz (http://app.testcenter.kz/).

The entrance exam will take place from November 18 to December 11, 2021. The passing score for admission on a state educational order and on a paid basis is 75 points. Admission to doctoral studies will take place from December 26, 2021 to January 10, 2022.

List of documents for admission to doctoral studies:
1) document on education (original, submitted when submitting documents to the selection committee);
2) an identity document (required for personal identification);
3) a certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language:
English language: IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System Academic), threshold score - not less than 5.5;
TOEFL IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based test), the threshold score is at least 46;
TOEFL PBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper-based test), the threshold score is at least 453;
German: Deutsche Sprachpruеfung fuеr den Hochschulzugang (DSH, NiveauВ2 / level В2), TestDaF-Prufung (Niveau В2 / level В2);
French: TFI (Test de Français International) - not lower than B2 level in reading and listening sections), DELF (Diplome d`Etudes en Langue française) - B2 level, DALF (Diplome Approfondi de Langue française) - B2 level, TCF ( Test de connaissance du français) - at least 50 points;
4) medical certificate in the form 075 / y;
5) six photographs measuring 3x4 centimeters;
6) a personal personnel record sheet or other document confirming labor activity, certified by the personnel service at the place of work;
7) a list of scientific and scientific-methodical works (scientific publications, research plan, essays and other documents) for the last 3 calendar years.
