08.11.2024 Scientific internship for 2nd year doctoral student 8D 05301-Chemistry at the SSAP LLP plant From October 18 to November 5, 2024, 2nd year doctoral student of the Department of Chemistry Аigul Baimagambetova and the doctoral student`s supervisor, Associate Professor Erbol Tileuberdi implemented a pilot installation for the production of sulfur-containing materials, namely paving slabs from sulfur cake.
The implementation of the installation was planned according to the Samruk-Kazyna R&D project "Production of sulfur-containing building material from sulfuric acid production waste. "The installed equipment can produce any shapes and types of concrete. A technology for the production of cake concrete using modified sulfur cake was also developed.
The project is aimed at recycling waste from sulfuric acid production (sulfur cake on the basis of subsidiaries and affiliates of SSAP LLP) and producing sulfur-containing road-building materials based on it.
The project is being implemented according to the principles of a circular economy. This initiative aims to convert environmentally hazardous waste into high-quality building materials, promoting not only sustainable development but also efficient use of resources.
