30.10.2024 Meeting with a representative of the Middlebury School (USA) On October 28, 2024, a significant meeting took place in Almaty at Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai with Nana Tsikhelashvili, Associate Professor and Director of the Middlebury School. The meeting was held as part of the university`s collaboration with international educational institutions, highlighting the importance of intercultural exchange and the development of academic mobility in the field of pedagogy.
During the meeting, key areas of partnership between the Middlebury School and KazNPU named after Abai were discussed. These included issues of foreign language teaching, the introduction of innovative teaching methods, and support for young educators and students aspiring to meet international educational standards. Nana Shotaevna shared her experience at the Middlebury School, emphasizing the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to learning and the development of critical thinking skills among students.
Special attention was paid to organizing academic exchange programs and joint research projects. This collaboration will open new opportunities for students and faculty of KazNPU named after Abai to participate in international educational programs supported by the Middlebury School.
The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of KazNPU, Banu Narbekova, expressed confidence that further cooperation with the Middlebury School will be an important step towards strengthening the university`s international integration. She noted that this partnership will create additional opportunities for the professional and personal growth of students and faculty.
The meeting concluded with discussions on organizing joint events, including roundtables, seminars, and conferences, which will help strengthen educational and scientific ties between the two institutions.
