29.10.2024 Abay University celebrates librarian`s day
The Scientific Library of Abai Kaznpu hosted a festive event dedicated to October 24 - the day of librarians. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for research and innovation of Abay University Ertay Sultan, faculty, librarians and students. The event included a video about the work of librarians during the year, a fair of book publishers "Almanac", "Lantar Books", "Alash Book", "Kemel", an exhibition of booksrosing and new publications, and a presentation of the works of the teaching staff.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of the book "Practical Course of the Arabic language" by Raya Orazbayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental philology and translation of Abay University was held. A meeting-benefit was also held with Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Bagdat Kosanov. Bagdat Kosanov told the students and participants about his interesting and memorable moments in science, career path. During the event, a webinar "electronic library system of the publishing house" Almanac" was organized.
The event was continued by the report of the director of the Scientific Library Nurgul Imansydykova. In his report, he spoke in detail about the state of the modern library. During the event, the library specialists, who were distinguished by their outstanding work during the year, were awarded the badge of the Union of Librarians of the Republic of Kazakhstan "honorary Librarian of Kazakhstan", "veteran librarian", "letters of thanks" and "certificates of honor" of the university, certificates "specialist of the year", "for outstanding works", "Zhas Maman". At the festive event, the readers of the library were also not left without Awards. They were awarded on behalf of the Scientific Library of Abay University in the nominations "Library zhanashyry", "author of the year", "dear reader", "best reader". The event ended with a concert program prepared by students of the Faculties of Philology, art, physics, mathematics and computer science, natural sciences and geography.
