Premiere of the performance of the student theatre "Shyn"

On December 4, 2023 the student theatre "Shyn" of Abai University presented the next production "Bir Dauren - Bozbalalyk", dedicated to the fight against one of the most acute problems of modern society - it is "gambling addiction", "ludomania". Unfortunately, the interest of young people in gambling is growing every day. The play is designed to draw attention to this problem, to show how dangerous it is for a person and his family. The directors of the play are Aigerim Dauletova and Zhansaya Isym, 4th year students of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports, to whom this idea belongs. Prologues in the performance were a peculiar highlight of conveying the theme through scenes of modern dance.

The story unfolds between three young people who have come to the city from the countryside in pursuit of a dream. But they cannot tolerate the pressure of the megalopolis and strive to earn money on their own, preferably in an easy way. And once caught in the network of gambling, became ludomaniacs. This is followed by a sad situation.

More than ten students were involved in the production. Adil (Rakhimzhan Zhomart), Beknur (Kadrahman Nur) and Aizhan (Aliya Kalmaganbet) played the main roles.

In general, the idea of the play is to protect young people from gambling, and no matter what problem children face, they should listen to the advice of their parents, realise their mistake in time and seek help. In a word, the theatre production glorifies the spiritual literacy of teenagers who are left in the city without care and supervision.

The event was attended by the heads of the administration of the Rectorate and structural units, the staff of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sport, as well as parents of students.
