The seminar «Do you know your rights?»

Low financial literacy, the desire to get rich easily and quickly - this is a combination that attracts many people, and it helps to create various financial pyramids. After all, fraudsters promise to change the lives of ordinary people for the better quickly, without any effort or risk. They are resourceful and skilful in psychological methods.

One of the problems that the public pays attention to today is the low financial literacy of the population. A seminar for students on financial literacy, organised by the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy, was held in Abai KazNPU on November 27, 2023. The theme was «Do you know your rights?».

The speaker of the meeting: head of Аlayaq.net the republican youth project on combating fraud and improving financial literacy among the population, author of the book «Karapayym kukyk», lawyer Nursultan Orynbekov.

Project objective Аlayaq.net - increasing the level of financial literacy among young people and identifying, uncovering and exposing various fraud schemes, consolidating young people with government agencies, the banking sector and the media. This project is being implemented directly with the support of the Ministry of Information and Culture. To date, the project has covered all regions of the country and uncovered 136 fraudulent schemes.

During the seminar, Nursultan Orynbekov spoke not only about financial literacy, but also noted what disciplinary measures are provided in case of infringement of students`rights.

At the end of the meeting, the students received answers to their questions and thanked the lawyer.
